why is my pc so slow

I recently had a very bad virus......did a recovery[on my own with the Recovery dvd provided

]....now my computer's is working at snails pace. Does anyone have any idea why?

Spyware is often a culprit. Have you checked for spyware? You could have 15-20 different spyware programs on your computer.

T F MONKEY...thank you.....I feel like a fool....after doing the recovery I forgot to update the Norton Anti virus..I forgot to activate the firewall and Ad-aware and when I downloaded Spybot as you suggested...I nearly fell off my chair
